According to a recent study, there are an estimated 5.5 million military caregivers in the country. The estimated cost of these uncompensated caregivers, who are family members providing physical care and emotional support to veterans, reaches into the billions of dollars. Yet, they are often overlooked and have a tough time getting adequate support.
